The Grean Deal Brabant for cooperation on energy transition is signed
In the context of Smart Energy Regions on 4 February at the TU/e the Green Deal Brabant is signed by municipalities, companies, social organizations and research institutions in Brabant. Smart Energy Regions is an initiative to realize an energy transition in the province of North Brabant.
In the energy transition technology, regulations, social and cultural norms, social innovation and new business models play a role. New concepts of energy, in the form of products and services, need to be realized. Examples are decentralized energy generation capabilities, local energy cooperatives and mobility concepts based on electric drive.
The parties would individually and in cooperation play a role in the creation of innovative energy products and services of and for citizens, professional users, companies, knowledge institutions and government at the following levels:
• groups of buildings and their environment,
• campuses and/or business parks.
